I always have more then a few projects going on in my life because I love to get my hands dirty. I call these my creative outlets which combine my varies interests. In fact, recently I decided to only take on a small number of client-centered projects per year, in order to focus primarily on self-directed work.
This helps me truly understand the trends and technologies that I employ. I’m a better researcher, marketer and strategist as a result. Check back soon as I plan to add my first project of 2009 shortly.
Game Index
(www.GameIndex.ca)
Game Index is a list of video game developers and publisher across Canada. The goal is to turn it into a resources that anyone in Canada, or globally, could use to source Canadian video game companies. The most recently major update (April 7,2009) has the site broken down by province. The site also got a nice reorganization that means less scrolling.
Facebook: Video Game Social Ads
I started a new project to collect pics of gaming ads on Facebook. I’ve always loved the collections you see online for beer, holiday menus, icon sets and even Bettie Page. You can check out the new set here on Flickr. Of course I’ll be sharing this on Twitter and Facebook as I add new entires to the collection.
