Building an Agency from the Ground Up

After last weeks post on The Future Digital Agency. I wanted to take a step back and think more about not just a future digital agency but how you would build the agency from the ground up.

What would you use for computers?

Would you go with a Tier1 data center or back up your data using Amazon’s S3?

Would you have only employees or a mix of employees and freelancers?

How about the phone, VoiP or give everone cells phones and drop landlines all together. It sounds like a crazy idea but is it really. There are so many questions that need to be answered when you start a new company and make sure you’re thinking of the future but builting your company using the best technology out there and that you can afford. With the cost of technology dropping, new firms launching everyone day.

There is a great opoprtunity to build a best in class agency using great technology that makes them smarter, faster and more nimble then their bigger counter parts. There is still more about this I need to figure out and punder over.
