A comparison of social media tools

A few people having been wanting to see a deep comparison of the social media tools out after my post last week about Paid Social Media Monitoring and Measurement Tools: The (almost) Complete Guide. There are a few books out there trying to do just that. Both of the options that I’ve come across are trying to be the de facto in the space. I think this is information that you should give out for free but maybe I’m crazy for thinking that way. However, they are options that I came across while doing my initial research.

1. Social Media Bible

2. Social Media Analysis, second edition

I thought about doing a excel style comparison of the tools, which is a huge undertaking in of itself. Still thinking of the idea as I work on finishing up a few projects I’ve on the go right now.

    Hi Ben

Thanks for the comment. I never did get around to doing the excel report as Forrester came out with a similar report:

You should check that out for a comparison of the tools. I hope this helps.
