Gamers Make More Money (Research)

It was great to see the National Post covering the research study released by IGN and Ipsos MediaCT mid-last week. The basic study reveals that gamers are a huge influencers for techbology, media and entertainment when it comes to their family and friends.

According to the IGN study, the average income of a gaming household in the U.S. is $79,000, compared to $55,000 for those households that do not play.

37 percent of gamers studied say their friends and family look to them for suggestions on other kinds of entertainment like TV and movies, while only 22 percent of non-gamers say they’re media influencers.
