Google Enters In-Game Advertising

I’ve been meaning to write about this for a week now, but could never find the words to really put it in a good post. Google entering the in-game ad business says a lot about the proliferation of gaming to a mainstream entertainment force.

Kim Pallistez, Biz Dev for Microsoft Casual Games, posted on his blog about Google getting into the game. GigaOM has a write up about it as well. I’ve been getting into Google AdWords more at work and I can’t say I hate or love the idea of Google entering the in-game ad space, however, I’ll take a wait and see until more information of how this is going to work comes to light. Thought it is nice to know they see a future here.
